With the 2011 Mr. O fast approaching, I thought I would give my comments on the contest.
In all my twenty plus years of following bodybuilding there have basically been dynasties.
The Lee Haney era, the Dorian Yates, and the Ronnie Coleman era.
Right now we are presently in the Jay Cutler era.
I mention this, because with one notable exception once a champion gets on a role, he really seems to roll—meaning keeping the title for a considerable length of time.
The exception of course, was when Dexter Jackson knocked off defending champion Jay.
Now, that being said, Jay showed his metal by winning the title back the next year.
O.K.
So what are my thoughts?
I think Phil is going to get Jay this year and become Mr. O
Honestly, I just have feeling he will win.
And yes, I know that he has made massive improvements—and will probably bring a seriously improved physique to the stage this year.
But again, I just have a feeling.
To me the only thing that holds Phil back is that he is narrow compared to Jay.
Jay will grab second, then Victor will get third.
With Kia, Dennis, and Dexter rounding out the top six.
A couple of thoughts.
Can Victor win this thing?
Yes, if he nails it—he has everything you need to be Mr. Olympia—again if he nails it. And I for one hope that he does.
Well, those are my thoughts.
What are yours?
